Hi,
Even if it could be extended with powerful features like its closed-source
counterpart, Sift is quite limited in its current implementation.
and I got curious... what is the "closed-source" counterpart of sift?

(just in case I can recommend someone to try sift instead!)

Hi Carlos,

By "closed-source" counterpart, I meant not only closed-source but
also confidential. In other words, the software I was referring to
will probably stay an internal software. But, we never know, one day
maybe we will share this code too (for now, there is not much to share
anyway: the project is just starting).

Oh fine,

I understood it in the wrong way: I though that the phrase referred to some
third-party commercial signal processing software.
Thanks for the explanation!
